Women Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Cyprus continue their work with unwavering commitment to the principles of empowerment and equality.
At the General Electoral Assembly held on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the headquarters of the Electricity Authority of Cyprus, the new Board of Directors was elected, ready to continue the work of empowering women, promoting gender equality, and eliminating discrimination across all sectors of society.
The Assembly began with a review of the outgoing Board’s activities for 2024, highlighting the actions and initiatives carried out to promote the position of women in Cypriot society and the economy. This was followed by the review and approval of the financial statements, as well as the report and appointment of an auditor for 2025, ensuring transparency and the proper functioning of the organization—values that lie at the core of BPW’s spirit.
Elections then followed, resulting in the appointment of the following members to the new Board of Directors and Committees of BPW Cyprus, ready to bring fresh momentum and continue the Federation’s work with undiminished enthusiasm:

The new President of BPW Cyprus, Ms. Mary Papadopoulou, during the first meeting of the new Board, strongly emphasized the commitment, mission, and core values that guide BPW.
“Together, united, we will continue our work unwaveringly, with the aim of empowering women, promoting gender equality, and eliminating discrimination in all sectors of society,” stated Ms. Papadopoulou.
This statement fully reflects the mission of BPW International: to develop the professional, business, and leadership potential of women at all levels through advocacy and networking.
At the same time, she expressed her sincere thanks to the outgoing Board of Directors and Committees for their work and productive term.
BPW Cyprus, under its new leadership, remains committed to implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly with regard to gender equality, and will continue to serve as a dynamic voice for women professionals and entrepreneurs in Cyprus, actively contributing to a society where every woman has the opportunity for growth and equal opportunities are ensured.
